Burger (10 pts): 8.5
Comments: The Thunder Burger is a great piece of meat. The size is more than generous; a full size burger that still manages the to encompass the subtleties that every great burger needs. The inside is grilled to a warm pink center that was nothing less than perfect.

"Cooked so well it was moist and pink on the inside. Always a good combo." - Hamburg

Bun (3 pts): 1.9
Comments: The Challah bun was a unique choice for a burger bun, but it didn't disappoint. It brought great flavour, and the addition of sesame seeds never goes unnoticed. The bottom of the burger got soggy though and failed to hold the burger.

"Tasted good, but halfway through it fell apart. Too much to hold.." - Day

Cheese (3 pts): 1.7
Comments: Basic cheese is a dollar extra, and good cheese like Havarti is two dollars extra. That is a kick in the teeth right there. On top of that, you could barely taste the cheese. I could see it, but if you are going to charge extra, the cheese should make a noticeable impact.

"Couldn’t really taste it and had to pay a dollar extra for it." - Blank

"Looked like a solid piece, but I couldn’t really taste it.." -
Canter

Toppings (4 pts): 3.3
Comments: It's always nice to see a choose your own toppings section and Thunder Burger did not disappoint. There is an excellent array of free toppings. It's a dollar more for bacon or chili, but that's pretty standard. The roasted red peppers and ancho mayo are not to be missed.

"Superb toppings. The roasted red peppers and onions were great." - Shubert

"Excellence has finally been perched upon a beef pedestal." - Eide

Synergy (10 pts): 8.3
Comments: When you enter Thunder Burger & Bar, it feels like you are walking into Ozzy Osbourne's basement. I mean that in the best way possible. It's dimly lit and rock music is playing throughout. The decor is cool and edgy, without crossing over into the zone of being too gothic like a Hot Topic. The waitress was friendly and helpful and the overall service was good. The fries were standard (nothing to be recommended), but the beer selection is great. Over than being in Georgetown, and therefore not right by a metro, Thunder Burger & Bar has great synergy.

"A nice, cozy, hole-in-the-wall, with delicious beer, good music, and knowledgeable waitress. " - Hamburg

Total (30 pts): 23.7
Comments: If you have ever been looking for a burger in Georgetown, this is the place. A great burger and great beer served in one of the coolest places around. Everyone there seemed to be having a good time. The place was full but not crowded, and it still manged to have a rowdy vibe without being totally chaotic. The burger is delicious and juicy. The cheese situation was sub-par, but that seems to be the only real downside. The toppings selection is great, and they all tasted great to match. The beer was superb and it one of the things that raises Thunder Burger & Bar one step above. This might not be the scene for everyone since it was compared to Ozzy Osbourne's house, but Thunder Burger & Bar is a outstanding place for a burger and a beer if you ever find yourself wondering around G'town.

"Delish burger; very large, but the bun fell apart. Good beer selection and a crazy good atmosphere." - Day

"It was a great time with burgers and beer.." - Eide
